A Warm Welcome Awaits You!

Our people are about as friendly as they come.  We are ordinary people with an extraordinary passion – the pursuit of God.  No single stereotype fits here.  Some of us dress casual, others a bit more formal… some of us are working men and women and others are executives or businessmen.  We welcome home school families as warmly as we welcome those who choose to place their children in private or public schools. Our church is small enough for you to get to know almost everyone, yet we have a passion grow and reach our community.  We welcome one and all.

A Warm Worship Service

When you walk into our worship service, you can expect to sing “KLOVE” style songs.  We also add one or two good old hymns of the faith.  We are not professionals, but we do our best to play worshipful songs with excellence.  We usually take a moment during our service to pray as families.  Our sermons are uplifting and they always give you truth to think about and live by.  When you visit, we don’t expect you to feel you have to support us, in fact we have a gift for every visitor before they leave.  We want our visitors to become part of the family.

Want to get to know us better?

If you visit during the school year, Pastor Dennis would love to have you sit in on our Discovery Classes.  this is a great way to discover more about Pine Grove Community Church.  Check it out.  Discovery Classes are held during Sunday School.  We also have a Sunday School Class for all ages, infants through adults.  We welcome you to feel confident in our “Child Safety Certified Teachers.”  We love children and we are sure to love yours

Our Pastor

Dennis and Susan came to Pine Grove on January 1st of 1991 from Everett Washington.  “We immediately fell in love with the people and the community.  We love it here and intend to stay a while.”  Dennis went to Western Baptist College in Salem Oregon (now Corban College) and then finished out his degree at Cascade Bible College in Bellevue Washington.

“I enjoy downhill skiing on occasion and I referee High School Soccer, which believe it or not, I find fun.  I like to read some fantasy adventure on occasion.  I am a published author looking to publish a few more books – the latest work is called “Rock Solid Christianity; finding solid ground in a world of shifting values.”  Find all my books on Amazon.  In my spare time I work on rentals and around the house.  Susan enjoys working around her house and she loves to garden.  She is very artistic, loves painting and drawing.   And she loves her little fox terrier beagle “Tillie.”

We have three children, Evie (married to Ken), Shaphen & Zachery married to Laurel, and five wonderful grandchildren.  Dakota, Josiah, Esther, Isaiah and Asher!  There is nothing better in life than being a grandpa!

I blog in my spare time.  I publish a blog called “Time With God, ” a rambling, personal devotional.  I’d love for you to check it out and get on my email list.

I also publish my sermons to the internet.  I have a “live version” which is up to date and unedited, and a Radio version which is exactly 28 minutes and 30 seconds and I call it “Growing Together.”  Check it out here!
