Why We Need Each Other (Hebrews 10:23-25)

Dennis Kreiss, July 15, 2017
Part of the The Coming Spiritual Earthquake series, preached for Growing Together Radio

What if you were left all alone in a gloomy isolated world? What if you were the only Christian you knew, and friends were non-existent. Would you cry out " everybody has forgotten about me. Nobody knows my troubles. I feel completely abandoned. Nobody, but nobody cares.” Some silently slip into church on Sunday morning, terribly confused and afraid. If it is not your story today, one day… one day in the future you may face the eye opening fact that you are all alone and you need fellowship.

We need hope - 23

One of the great confessions of hope is Jesus return - 1 Thes 4:16-18
When you confess your faith to others, you impart hope
We need help - 24

No man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself
Someday you will need help… That’s why you need fellowship

We need purpose - 25

Everyone needs a community to love them even if it comes at a cost
This verse is saying, “Do not __________ us.” We need you at church
As we come nearer to the return of Christ we need a place of _________
Our great purpose is to be prepared for Jesus ________ - 2 Peter 3:10-13
Jesus return will change your conduct and give you purpose
We need to remind each other of the importance of fellowship
If you were left all alone in a gloomy isolated world, If you were the only Christian you knew, Would you cry out Like Tom Southerland " everybody has forgotten about me. Nobody knows my troubles. I feel completely abandoned. Nobody, but nobody cares.” In a world filled with discouragement and danger you need fellowship. We need each other.”
