Anxiety disorders are the number one cause of mental health issues. And the pandemic made all of us more anxious. You can feel your muscles tighten. Your heart rate goes up. You have trouble breathing, like you are being smothered. You might even have experienced panic attacks. Ok. Are you anxious yet? Take a deep breath. Today I am going to give you a few practical exercises to help you in these difficult times.
Make a ___________ to Rejoice 4
You must make a mental decision to change your mind set.
“rejoice,” ????? chairo. means to “be well, to thrive, to be glad.”
Don’t just be glad, “rejoice in the Lord.”
Start dwelling on the spiritual blessings that God has provided!
Keep ________ and Carry On 5
Sometimes you must calm yourself down.
Moderation means “gentle, mild, or even tempered.”
Don’t take your anxiety out on other people.
Express yourself kindly to other people.
Jesus is coming soon so keep calm and carry on.
Replace Anxiety with ____________ 6-7
Worry about nothing, pray about everything.
“Breathe in! – Worry about nothing!”
“Breathe out – Pray about everything.”
Use the “pester” plan of prayer – spelled – PSTR.
P stands for ___________, simple communication with God. “
S stands for Supplication - a cry for God to meet your daily needs.
T stands for thanksgiving - trusting God for everything.
R stands for ___________, - So PESTER GOD!
To escape from worrisome feelings, do it in prayer.

You must get a hold of your thoughts or they will get a hold of you!
You must Squash mental ANTS. AUTOMATIC NETATIVE THOUGHTS.
You must replace your anxious thoughts with truth.
Is it true is it a lie
Is it honest is it dishonest
Is it right is it wrong
Is it pure is it impure
Is it appropriate is it inappropriate
Is it uplifting is it depressing
Is it helpful is it harmful
Does it build up does it tear down
In order to change, you must “think” or “meditate” on these things
Remember that anxiety will wear you out because it takes so much energy. During a pandemic you get infected with negative thoughts. You must ask yourself, “What am I thinking about that is causing my anxiety?” Make a choice to rejoice, Keep calm and carry on, Take a deep breath and replace anxiety with prayer, and don’t forget to squash your ANTS while you meditate and replace your negative thoughts with the appropriate thought patterns from God Himself.
