Are you tired of the chaos and daily bad news bombardment? Do you need a break? I understand. When you can't get away from the craziness, you need a mighty faith to see you through. Today, I want to give you a triumphant and encouraging look at the faith that enables us to mount up on wings like eagles and soar!
#1 Ruminate on God’s Power
The word ruminate means to think deeply about something.
Paul was a prisoner when he wrote those words. (1 Timothy 2:8)
We are to share in the sufferings of the gospel.
We are to stir up our gift and serve.
We get to minister in troubled times!
We serve because God is going to empower us.
Instead of fear, God has given us power, love and a sound mind.
#2 Remember that God is Your Help.
Fear not, for I am with you. Isaiah 41:10.
Trouble should be a reminder to turn from fear to faith.
God will Strengthen you when you are weak.
God will help you when you are helpless.
God will uphold you when you fall.
#3 Repeat the Promises of God
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” Philippians 4:13
When you repeat the promises it will increase your faith.
#4 Develop Resilience
Faith is a spiritual muscle that gives you resilience.
The disciples were facing difficulty.
They said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5)
Faith makes the impossible possible.
#5 Rest on his Promises
“Faith comes by hearing the Word of God!” Romans 10:17.
If you want a mighty faith, you’ve got to rest on God’s promises.
Faith must be anchored in truth.
Listen, I can’t stop the riots, or the Covid, or the corruption – I can’t even fix your family problems. But what I can do is point you to the Savior who can. What I can do is help stabilize your ship during the storm. Faith grows in the dark. The stars are in place right now, but I can’t see them until the darkness settles in around me.
