Perilous (??????? chalepos) means “savage, fierce, harsh, hard to bear.”
The last days the times will be so harsh, that we may lose heart.
We have not seen such times since the days of Noah.
These are the Last Days
Last is ????????? eschatos – from which we get the word eschatology.
Eschatology is the study of what the Bible teaches about the end times.
Generally, the last days began with the birth of the Church in Acts 2:17.
“In these last days God has spoken unto us by his Son.” Heb 1:2
“Little children, it is the last time.” 1 John 2:18
We are in the last period of history before Jesus returns.
Specifically, the short period just before Jesus comes back is the last days.
These are the last days of the last days.
Scoffers will ask, “Where is the promise of his coming?” 2 Peter 3:3-4
Characteristics of the Last Days
There are Twenty Terrible Traits of humanity in the last days.
Many things on this list don’t seem that bad!
We are not shocked by sin anymore! We have been desensitized.
That just goes to show you how far we have slipped!
What’s my point! We are already here! The end of days us upon us! These are the last days. Wake up! Here’s what you can do with this list, my dear believing friend. Read through it and ask yourself, am I like that! If I am, I need to change!
