Today we are going to talk about the Coming Cashless Society. I want to admit right from the beginning that Bible Prophecy does not explicitly predict a cashless society. What it does predict is that during the coming Great Tribulation, there will be an evil worldwide empire run by an Antichrist of a man, also known as the beast, who will require all people of the earth to receive some kind of identifying mark which they must have in order to buy or sell.
Two developments have supercharged the move to a cash free society.
Numerous businesses have stopped accepting cash for fear of virus transmission.
We have developed a coin shortage due to circulation disruption.
The Empire of the Beast
The Beast will rise to power quickly. Rev 13:1
The Beast will be demonically empowered Rev 13:2.
The Beast will come to power miraculously! Rev 13:3
The Beast will be a military Genius. Rev 13:4
The Beast will be worshiped and adored.
The Coming Cashless Society
The original mark of the beast is the humble grocery store bar code.
The RFID chip has the potential to track every transaction.
The Quantum Tattoo is the latest suggestion for the mark.
The Mark will regulate all commerce one day in the future.
The Mark will be mandatory and not optional. Rev 3:16-17
The Mark of the Beast
17 no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
You cannot accidently take the mark of the beast.
There are three descriptions of this mark. Rev 3:17-18
#1 it is the Mark of the Beast. A visible mark of allegiance.
#2 It is the Name of the Beast. A pledge of allegiance to him.
#3 it is the Number of his name. His number is 666.
The Mark of the Beast is a pledge of allegiance to his kingdom. Rev 14:9-10
The Mark of the Beast is not so much about digital tattoos, RFID chips or bar codes. It is about pledging allegiance and worship to the coming evil emperor. You are not going to accidentally branded with the Mark of the Beast. As prophecy unfolds, there will come a day for those living on planet earth, that they will asked to make a public announcement of their loyalty and honor to the coming world ruler.
